This list includes a wide range of vehicles, including SUVs, hatchbacks and convertibles from leading brands such as Tesla, Jaguar and Audi.
Get ready to take the new year by storm…
Tesla Roadster
Tesla is undoubtedly at the forefront of the electric vehicle market. The Tesla Roadster promises to be the fastest accelerating production car ever, reaching speeds of 60 miles per hour in a matter of 1.6 seconds!
Most impressively, the Roadster, has a huge 200kWh battery with three electric motors producing a range of 620 miles from a single charge.
While the Roadster is unquestionably a future landmark for electric vehicles, Tesla has other ventures premiering during 2020, including the Model Y.
The Model Y is similar to their Model 3 sedan but boasts an impressive range of 300 miles with a capacity of seven seats, perfect for the family school runs.
Tesla is one of the most exciting car manufacturers today and their future projects are worth keeping an eye on.
Ford Bronco
In 1966 Ford produced the first-ever SUV: the Bronco. Production continued until 1996, and it was the first and only 4×4 to win the Mexican 1000.
As such, after two decades, the Bronco is finally making a return to the world as a go-anywhere SUV, with a reported release date of Spring 2020.
Ford has kept their cards very close to their chest when it comes to the new version, with very few details being released. However, it is rumoured to have both a two and four-door set up, with a removable roof in order to compete with the new Jeep Wrangler.
BMW Z4
The new BMW Z4 was first revealed during the 2018 Monterey Car Week, sporting new visual enhancements and following BMW’s revived 8 Series models.
The new Z4 promises to return to its roots as a sporty two-door convertible focused on driving dynamics. It is coupled with a 3.0L turbocharged straight-six engine capable of reaching 60 miles per hour in 4.4 seconds.
Jaguar F-TYPE
The New Jaguar F-TYPE is one of the most breath-taking cars available for the upcoming year and indeed the best-looking Jaguar around today.
This updated F-TYPE offers different engines, the largest being a 5.0L supercharged V8 with around 550BHP and the smallest being a 2.0L turbo with 296BHP.
In keeping with the new age of technological advancements with car manufacturers, Jaguar is offering all future cars a version of electric/hybrid technology.
This is an exciting development for the F-TYPE, especially when looking at the successes of cars such as the Maclaren P1 and the Porsche 918.
Audi A3
The Audi A3 has remained one of the most popular family hatchbacks since its release, rivalling the Mercedes A-Class and other premium vehicles in its class.
The What Car? Used Car of the Year 2019 is available as a plug-in hybrid, with Audi jumping on the bandwagon of sustainable travel. A petrol and diesel option is also available on the new 2020 version.
Ford Mustang hybrid
The Ford Mustang is one of the most recognisable cars in the world today, known for its muscle car looks and performance.
Excitingly, Ford has announced that they are developing a Ford Mustang Hybrid for 2020.
The hybrid technology combines a 3.2 turbocharged EcoBoost engine with an electric motor giving additional power and torque. The Mustang will be on sale in the summer of 2020.
