Just Vehicle Solutions are proud to announce that we have signed up to become a member of ecologi.com. Ecologi is a Bristol based company founded by Elliot Coad, Alex Price, and Lucy Jack, and is a platform for action against climate change.
Carbon Reduction
Using the money generated from user membership fees, Ecologi funds climate projects designed to reduce worlds carbon footprint. The money is invested into projects that remove more greenhouse gases that your own carbon footprint puts in, thus creating a positive effect on the environment.
Each month, Ecologi supports a wide range of carbon reduction projects that are certified at the very highest level by Gold Standard and equivalent.
Tree planting
One of the best ways to tackle climate change and keep our temperatures from rising above 1.5C is to plant trees. A 2019 report study showed that across the world, an area the size of the US is available for planting trees, which was far greater than previously thought, and would reduce CO2 in the earth’s atmosphere by around 25% if used for this purpose.
Ecologi have partnered up with The Eden Reforestation Projects, who plant millions of trees around the world each month and are currently doing some amazing work in Madagascar.
How we have contributed
So far since becoming a member, Just Vehicle Solutions has funded the planting of 124 trees! That equates to 6.18 tonnes of CO2e at present, which is the equivalent of either 5 long haul flights, or 15,333 miles driven in a car. That means so far an estimated 19 metres2 of sea ice has been saved.
We will continue to update you on the incredible work being done by Ecologi and their partners as a direct result of our membership going forward.
